My boyfriend took me up to this rooftop bar at the Intercontinental Hotel yesterday. We wanted to stop in, grab a drink, and an appetizer, enjoy the lovely views, before heading downstairs to meet our reservations at La Boucherie. I really loved this place, we came around 4:00 p.m., our server was so cute. I feel bad that I don't remember her name, but she was Asian with a lovely smile, and super cool yellow sunnies. She treated us so well, and definitely the type of wonderful service we were hoping for. Hope to return here one day at night after the sun goes down..

First time visiting and I was so glad I brought a jacket because as other visitors have said, it definitely gets cold and windy up there! They do have heat lamps and fire pits but you might not be close to one and the wind definitely is strong enough to counteract any warmth from the heaters. Would definitely recommend bringing multiple layers so you can enjoy the views without being cold! I always have low expectations for rooftop bars because I feel the focus isn't on the food or drinks, so I was pleasantly surprised by everything we ordered: Beef brisket hamburger was really hearty and tasty, and a huge portion for the price! Fries were well-seasoned but not super crispy. Brussel sprouts were well-executed, saucy, and delicious. Strawberry tres leches cake wasn't too sweet but also wasn't super memorable. Chocolate caramel flan was very interesting and didn't taste like other flans I've ever had. Espresso Martini: a must for coffee lovers Oldest Fashioned: tasty and classic Pa-no-ma: citrus-y mocktail Winter Fur (bought the kitty mug to take home with me for an extra $7): I liked the Te Breezy cocktail better but this was worth it to try! Prices are definitely higher, but they do have minimums on the weekends, so it makes sense that you'd have to pay for the views. Our waitress Eunice was very nice and gave us helpful recommendations.

Located on the 73rd floor of the InterContinental LA, this rooftop bar offers stunning views of the city. There are fire pits with seating around them, and also cabana chairs with a table in the middle overlooking the city which is where we were seated. There is a minimum and a dress code, fyi. The staff was friendly and checked up on us regularly. The cocktails were very good, and dangerously easy to drink! Thank goodness we were staying at the hotel lol. We also ordered the table side smores, which was fun and tasty. There was house music playing, which I really enjoyed. This was the perfect place to go to cap off our California trip!

*Sunset Sips at Spire 73* Tequila tasting event at the spire Time: 4:30-6:00pm Cost:$25 Parking: 1 hour comped w/ validation from Spire Parking: $16 per hour Elevators: If you are coming from the self parking area be prepared to go up 3 elevators. There are signs to help navigate you to spire 73. The first elevator takes you from the parking to the main floor. The 2nd elevator takes you from the main to the 71st floor. And the last one is where the security checks you before you head up to the restaurant. Event: Each vendor provided tasting for 3 varieties of tequila which were Blanco, Reposado, Aniejo and more. There vendors were El Sativo, Tres Generaciones, JAJA, Don Julio. There Light bites provided, We came around 5:15 ( they end at 6pm) and We were able to catch a bit of the ceviche tostadas and bean cheese quesadillas. And they later brought out some chicken skewers that were delicious! They had a Dj and a mini cocktail bar providing mixed drinks with the branded tequila! The event was hosted on the left side of the main bar and restaurant which was nice and intimate. I Loved the open space seating we were able to sit and catch a view of the sun set! The ended just at 6pm and you were able to get a seat at the main bar but you have to have minimum purchase of I believe they said $50 and an 18% gratuity is Included. The event went by quickly, granted we did show up later. But it was nice quick sip, bite, sit and go event. Definitely would have loved to stay and listen to some more music but was definitely a social event. Nice for a first time.

I took my partner here to celebrate his passing of his licensure exam! What a beautiful restaurant bar! The views are epic! Definitely plan for visit here an hour or so before the sunset so you can experience the beautiful sunset! The transition from day into evening is quite romantic as all the city lights start to twinkle all around! The music and vibe of Spire73 is great! Service was good! I have no complaints of the food! It was pretty good. The alcoholic beverages were fine. The espresso martini could be better.

Let me start by saying, the small blankets that they give you are NOT sufficient if it's a cool and windy night. They don't have heaters at every single seat and my friends were freezing up there on the roof. Now to the good part EUNICE.. when I say she's a great waitress who they stretch way too thin. She's super personable and knowledgeable about the menu and beverages... We ordered a bunch of appetizers because we weren't in the mood for entrees but when you sit you must spend $60 pp so we ordered drinks and several apps.. the butternut squash was good but the Mediterranean plate, truffle fries and chicken set are the best!!!! I would definitely come back but when the weather isn't so cool.

I love the Spire 73 ! The drinks were on the expensive side but definitely worth it. The fire pit setup and heaters to keep guest warm on chili nights were perfect and view of LA skyline at night and believe me it did not disappoint . I definitely recommend coming during sunset to watch the city light up . It's truly magical .
